I'm scared!

I really like your use of blur. Good speed. Fluid movement. Action keeps moving. Cool monster. Yeah, I like it. I don't think you should use the plastic wrap filter on the text though. Too hard to read and a vector is smaller too.. It looks great on the monster though. Some, not all, of your images could be converted to vectors without losing too much quality. That would reduce the file size. The blur won't look as nice though. It's a trade off.
You could also reduce the music to 48bps for a big reduction in file size as well.
Good effort. Keep makinem.

You know, I think you are right... shouldn't have used the plastic on the text.. oh well, too late. But eum, the music is already 32bps even.. Hehe... so reducing to 48 would be a bit hard. And like you said, if I lower the quality, the blur becomes ugly (tried it first).
Thanx for your positive review.. But don't think I'll keep making them.. About 30 hours of work for a 2.81/5.. doesn't really seem worth the effort... does it.

Fun story. Needs a wait scene

You should put a scene, after the preloader scene, that waits for the user to start the movie.
That way the viewer can go about their way until it is loaded. You have it so the user will either miss the beginning or have to watch the loader closely. The latter is is not the best way.
Swell movie otherwise. Love the song at the end.

Yeah... about that... I made all these animations before I found NG, so I didn't have the vast NG backlog of info to draw from (unfortunately!). The constructive criticism and ideas you guys have given me will be a huge help for future animations, thanks very much.

Change the loser/not loser button code to open the url in a "blank" window. Your url's stay in the "same" window and it is a pop-up with no scroll or resize tools.

Learning to make a preloader - priceless.

I got tired of watching it stream. Streaming doesn't work too well on a file this size. You need to compress your images/sound and use a preloader. Don't listen to the fux who say flash isn't for bitmaps. Flash can use video, bitmaps and vectors. To not use them all is stupid. Flash isn't just about animation. It does more. It should be pushed to it's limits. And that means using more than just hand drawn animations. Anyone who slams a flashy just because it isn't cheesy animation, like the morons who slammed Reptilian Rampage, can kiss my ass. Obviously I've gone off on a rant that isn't even directed at you and your flash but it has to be said.

Simple preloader walk through for you.

Sorry I didn't see the movie. It won't load. But these tips would help greatly.
Call up your movie. Make a new scene and put it at the top of the scene list.
Call it preloader. On the first frame put the word "LOADING" on the stage. Click on the third frame and hit F7. Then hit F9 and paste in this code

}

If you are not using Flash MX then replace with the ifFrameloaded command.

Replace "name of start scene" with the name of your second scene and that's it.
Even a preloader with a working load bar isn't much more difficult.
Also I'm guessing that most of your movie is being used by the sound. Be sure to reduce your sound to mp3 layer 3, 44100Hz stereo, 64kbps. Drop to 48kbps even. That alone may cut the size of this movie to about 1,500kb instead of 4,568kb.

Nice job on the graphics. The windows in the military jet are amazing. Damn good job on the sound as well. Especially the Chinese. A lot of nice gradients. Good use of complementary colors. It's so over-the-top cutesy that it really stands out. You have talent. Keep em coming.
