Brilliant!

Still the best series on NG. Technically and aesthetically above reproach.. Going staight to my favorites list.

Kooky

Fun but expendable. It's just the right lengh and the John Kricfalusi style graphics are cool. Not half as funny as Nerf Herders "Jenna Bush Army" song but a fun little flashy. Good job.

Good work. A few tips.

I could see your drawing and animation skills increase as the movie advanced. I think you'll get better and better if you keep at it. Some kind of background would make it look better IMO and the file is WAY bigger than it should be. I suspect it's the sound compression. An mp3, layer 3, 44100Hz, stereo, 64kbps would cut the file size in half and would'nt sound much different.

TheAbominableMatt responds:

yeh i didn't realise how long it would take to load until i submitted it and loaded it myself. I know very little about computers in truth so i actually didn't consider the file size when making it. I've learnt my lesson tho and for my next attempt i will make sure to compress the file as much as possible

Why isn't this green?

WTF? Sometimes I really have to wonder about some NG users. It's not fair nor right that this has such a low score while sprite movies and infantile movies about video game characters get high scores. At the time of this writing it is 1.7. That's fucked up. It deserves to be at least a 2.7....

seeker7 responds:

thank you

That was really lame.

-The humour was really weak
-The animation was poor
-The graphics were terrible (learn to cut out a fucking shape)
-The sound was low quality and barely hearable
-No interactivity
-No violence
-The style sucks

Reverend-Ant responds:

-It was not intended to be funny
-The animation was just lines moving, I really don't know how that can be improved. :/
-The shapes are cut exactly to the photograph (learn to use your eyes)
-There was no sound, fucknut
-There was interactivity, a preloader and a replay button
-It was not intended to be violent
-You suck

Why don't you go get fucked by a rusty pole?

Brilliant, brash and right on target.

Clever idea and well executed. Love the jabs at those who are brainwashed into a religion. It's too bad the intrinsic message of this movie is going to be lost on the average NG user.
It would be cool if you provided the lyrics on the replay screen. It's a bit hard to understand parts of the verses when it sounds like a fast talking Pube Muppet.. BTW - wtf is the deal with Hawking's voice modulator? I saw him recently at a local university and I couldn't understand him. In this day and age of amazingly clear and worthy speech synthesizers why the fuck is he still using one that sounds like an old Atari.

Worth the d/l

I think parts of this look really cool but using so many bitmaps makes the file too large. You also need to put a hitbox on top of your text buttons and you need to put a StopSound command on your replay button code because as it is you can do make the music overlap.

Cool aesthetic.

Nice work. Great style and pace. Reminded me of a Heavy Metal strip but animated. I hope to see more submissions from you.

Clever and inspired but unfinished

I think this is a funny idea but perhaps not fully realized. But that's a good thing because it left me wanting more. It would have been good to either rip an old commercial or animate one to show how they went. As I recall it was frustrating because he'd always get so close to getting some. Sometimes he'd get it right next to his furry lips and then bang it's snatched away and then he's mocked, belittled and teased by the "silly rabbit. Trix are for kids" taunt.
It would also be better if you included more cereal characters.
Great stuff though. Good work technically except you need to put a hitbox on top of your text buttons.

Thank you for your comments. I hope you will be happy to know last night I decided to build off this video a lot more for my 2nd title.

Firth is a force majeure

I'm so glad you are here to counter the cloying, saccharine crap, like Numa Numa Dance, that is so popular. NG needs more talent like you. Your stuff is unique and creative. What a concept!

I'm a slave to the system.
